PHOTOS: KABA’s Last visit to Multimedia, and final night on earth

Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as Kaba, often left the premises of the Multimedia Group at about this time of the day. His popular political talk show, “Ekosii sen”, often ended at sunset and he would exchange pleasantries with his guests and colleagues before leaving.

Today, however, he arrived at the time he often left. He did not arrive in his car. He did not drive here. He was driven, but he was not in the seat. He did not exchange greetings with his fellow workers at the Multimedia Group. They greeted him with tears and wailing. They called his name, but he did not respond.

He came covered. In a casket.

Tonight is his last night on the surface of planet earth. Tomorrow morning, he will return to the State House, where he celebrated his wedding reception, last year. It won’t be about marriage this time, but  the ceremony before his burial. Family, friends and high profile dignitaries across all walks of life will be there to bid him farewell. After that he will be taken to the Osu Cemetery, where he will be buried.

Below are some scenes at the Premises of the Multimedia Group when Kaba’s body made a stopover this evening:
